A consultation meeting of the religious leaders was held at ST. Francis Xavier Parish Gujranwala on 6th September 2023. Shahzad Lawrance, a member of the District Peace Committee organized this session.
Roman catholic priests Rev. Fr. Yousaf Yaqoob, Rev. Fr. Zafar Tanveer, Rev. Fr. Sanwal John, Pastor Morris Austin, Pastor Samson Boota of Pentecostal church, Pastor Amir and Pastor Anoosh of Presbyterian Church of Pakistan, social activists and catechists attended this meeting.

Father Yousaf appreciated the efforts of Shahzad Lawrence in organizing the program. He said that after the Jaranwala incident, it is necessary that all the religious leaders should be united on one page so that a common struggle is made to solve the challenges and problems faced by the Christians.
Shahzad Lawrence, a member of the District Peace Committee briefed the audience about current problems and issues. In addition, he suggested that religious leadership should have a monthly meeting to discuss community issues.
