Commissioner Gujranwala / Chairman Gujranwala Board of Education Naveed Haider Shirazi and Shehzad Lawrence,  a Member of District Interfaith Harmony and Peace Committee Gujranwala, had a special talk with the visiting Christian delegation.

According to the details, Rev. Father Zafar Tanveer, Rev. Father Immanuel Ahmad, and Shahzad Lawrence met Commissioner Gujranwala Naveed Haider Shirazi. In the meeting, the Christian delegation shared with Mr. Naveed Haider Sherazi that the credit for the exemplary situation of inter-faith harmony in Gujranwala is the result of prompt actions and safety measures taken by District and Division administration under the supervision of worthy commissioner Gujranwala and his team. Moreover, the carpet road construction of Maryam Siddique Town Chand da Qila will become a source of comfort for the community. Commissioner Gujranwala Naveed Haider Shirazi shared with the delegation members that protecting Christian communities, churches, places of worship, and their properties is the government’s responsibility.

Commissioner Gujranwala congratulated Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ahmed of St. Mark’s Parish on his appointment as the new parish priest while he expressed his goodwill to the transferred Rev. Fr. Zafar Tanveer and appreciated his services. On this occasion, Commissioner Gujranwala appreciated Rev, Fr, Zafar Tanveer for his efforts to promote religious harmony and services to the community and presented him with a bouquet.
