CHILDREN PEACE WALK

 

 

Christian Muslim Rabta Society Regd. and ST. Joseph’s English High School organized the “ALL PAKISTAN CHILDREN PEACE WALK (RALLY)” in Gujranwala initiated by National Council for Interfaith Dialogue (NCID) Lahore, Pakistan.

 

Overview

The atmosphere of peace, fraternity, and brotherhood is the guarantee of peace in society.The objective of Rabata society is to provide the new generation with useful and productive activities without discrimination, which will create awareness about interfaith and peace among them.

A peace walk was organized with school students in which children from nursery class to class 10 participated to achieve the aims and objectives of Rabata Society. These children belonged to different religions.

The students carried placards, banners with slogans on promoting peace, brotherhood, love, unity. The children also raised their voice for children’s rights and the establishment of a non-violent society in the world.

At the beginning of the program, pigeons were released in the air as peace. Among the speakers, Shahzad Lawrence and others informed the participants about the aims and objectives of the walk organized for the establishment of peace. After which the children organized a walk, during the walk the children raised slogans for the promotion of peace.

This peace walk proved to be the best means of establishing peace and brotherly love. Students and teachers in their views emphasized to continue such productive activities۔ Through this positive activity, children’s respect for each other became more prominent. Parents from different walks of life also participated in this walk and congratulated the Rabata Society for organizing such activities. Rabata society organized the ALL-PAKISTAN CHILDREN WALK (RALLY)” in Gujranwala for peace and education.
