Efforts To Highlight The Community Issues Of The Most Christian Populated Colony Francisabad, Gujranwala.

Christian religious leaders met worthy Deputy Commissioner Mr. Naveed Ahmad on the 27th Day of November 2024 and shared a list of issues being faced by the Christian community in Gujranwala. However, Mr. Faisal Sultan’s visit to Francisabad was welcomed by the community and all of them appreciated the role of Mr. Shahzad Lawrence as he facilitated this visit to highlight the basic issues of Francisabad.

According to details, Worthy Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala Naveed Ahmed directed Mr. Faisal Sultan Additional Deputy Commissioner General Faisal Sultan to visit Francisabad along with Assistant Commissioner Sadar Division to address the basic issues.

A large Christian population community in Francisabad was established by Rev. Fr. France many years ago. The community faces a lack of Government Schools, Dispensaries, Health Care Centers, sanitation, Clean Drinking Water, Sewerage systems, and other necessities of life.

Mr. Sultan’s visit provoked hope in the community to resolve the basic problems. Shahzad Lawrence shared that an application had been submitted for the establishment of a government school, dispensary, lights in the playground, computer center, and maternity center in Francisabad. We are thankful to the District Administration for their concern. ADCG Faisal Sultan directed concerned departments on the spot to address the basic issues. However, some issues will be resolved after discussion.

The feedback from Christians was very positive as it was the initiative to provide basic rights to the Christian community. It was the collective effort with Roman Catholic Priests to raise their voice for the deserving community.
