We believe that exchanging wishes on the occasion of religious feasts is one of the practical initiatives to promote religious harmony and interfaith dialogue in society.
In this regard, Shahzad Lawrance a member of the District Peace Committee, Rev. Fr. Shakeel Inayat Parish Priest of ST. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Yousaf Yaqoob Parish Priest ST. Francis Xavier Parish & Rev. Fr. Faisal Parvez Assistant Parish Priest visited and met Mr. Fayyaz Ahmad Mohal a Deputy Commissioner of Gujranwala on 21st of September 2023.
A cake was presented to Mr. Fayyaz Ahmad Mohal the Deputy Commissioner of Gujranwala in accordance with the celebrations of EID Milad Ul Nabi (The birth of the prophet Mohammad (PBUH)).
Fr. Yousaf Yaqoob congratulated Mr. Mohal while the representatives of different walks of life participated in this ceremony. This was proved a practical example of religious harmony and interfaith dialogue. Later on, Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Mohal Deputy Commissioner of Gujranwala expressed his very positive views about this activity with leaders of different sects during the District Peace Committee meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Gujranwala.
