2 Days Life Skill Training Drug Abuse Prevention Program - March 2017

Mian Afzal Hospital organized a “2 days life skill training Drug abuse prevention program”. The program was organized as The Punjab College for Women Kheili on 21st and 22nd Day of March 2017. I participated as a guest in a two-day life skills training program that focused on drug abuse prevention and offered numerous advantages for students.

Firstly, such programs equip students with essential knowledge about the dangers of substance abuse, helping them make informed decisions and resist peer pressure effectively. By understanding the physical, psychological, and social impacts of drug abuse, students become empowered to prioritize their well-being and steer clear of harmful behaviors. This knowledge is crucial in fostering a proactive approach towards personal health and safety, encouraging students to adopt positive lifestyles that promote longevity and overall wellness.

Additionally, life skills training programs promote the development of critical skills such as decision-making, communication, and assertiveness. These skills are invaluable in navigating various social situations, including those where substance use may be present. By enhancing their ability to communicate effectively and assertively express their boundaries, students can confidently resist temptations and stand firm in their choices. Moreover, learning to make informed decisions in the context of drug abuse prevention cultivates a sense of responsibility and self-control, traits that are essential for success both academically and in future professional endeavors. Ultimately, the advantages of participating in such programs extend beyond mere knowledge acquisition, shaping students into resilient individuals capable of making positive contributions to their communities.

The program went successfully and participation certificates were distributed among the participants.
