Divisional Peace Committee Meeting Held in Connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi 2026
A significant meeting of the Divisional Peace Committee, Gujranwala Division, was held on 17 th August, 2026 at Commissioner Office, Gujranwala in connection with the preparations for the peaceful and respectful observance of Eid Milad-un- Nabi, 2026.
The meeting was chaired by Commissioner Gujranwala Muhammad Ali and was attended by RPO Gujranwala Khuram Shahzad Haider Warrich, Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala Naveed Ahmed, and CPO Gujranwala Dr. Sardar Ghias Gul Khan. Deputy Commissioners, DPOs, representatives of law- enforcement agencies, Auqaf officials, and members of the Divisional Peace Committee from Gujranwala and Gujrat Divisions also participated in the important meeting.

During the meeting, the participants emphasized the importance of Eid Milad-un- Nabi as an occasion to promote the Prophet Muhammad’s message of peace, compassion, tolerance, mutual respect, acceptance, brotherhood, and harmony. The participants agreed that these values should not remain limited to religious gatherings but should be promoted and practiced at the grassroots level, contributing towards a peaceful and inclusive society.
Particular attention was given to maintaining law and order and ensuring adequate security arrangements during Milad processions, rallies, religious gatherings, and other related activities. The authorities discussed security plans, procession routes, entry and exit points, traffic management, coordination among law-enforcement agencies, and close communication with organizers and religious leaders to ensure the smooth and peaceful observance of the day.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of interfaith harmony and responsible community engagement. Religious leaders and Peace Committee members were encouraged to play their role in promoting tolerance, discouraging hate speech and provocative material, respecting one another’s religiousbsentiments, and ensuring that all activities remain peaceful and dignified.
The collective commitment of the administration, law-enforcement agencies, religious leadership, and members of the Peace Committee reflected a shared vision of celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi in an atmosphere of peace, unity, mutual respect, religious tolerance, and harmony.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen coordination among all stakeholders and to ensure that the celebrations of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal are conducted peacefully, safely, and in accordance with the true spirit of the message of mercy, peace, and humanity.
