National Peace Conference for Interfaith Harmony on October 01, 2013, at Art Council, Gujranwala
To commemorate the martyrs and victims of All Saints Church Peshawar Pakistan, Christian Muslim Rabata society held a National Peace Conference for Interfaith Harmony on October 01, 2013, at Gujranwala Art Council, Gujranwala. To show solidarity with victims of All Saints Church, Peshawar, Pakistan, and develop brotherly relations among religions and to engage concerned stakeholders in peace-building and religious harmony campaign.
In organizing this conference, we are grateful to all the representatives of social, political, religious, social workers, NGOs who supported us and participated in the program in a full way.
At the beginning of the conference, Shahzad Lawrence spoke good words for those who were martyred in the bomb blast at All Saints Churches. He thanked the participants and said that we are struggling through public opinion to end extremism, extremism and terrorism in the country.
Allama Ayaz Zaheer Hashmi, the central chairman of the National Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony, presided over the conference.
In his opening words, he congratulated Shahzad Lawrence and his team for organizing the conference and called it important in the struggle for peace.
Scholars of various schools of thought, members of the Punjab Assembly, Christian religious political and social leaders in their views demanded the government of Pakistan to immediately arrest those responsible for the Peshawar bomb blast. Financial assistance should be provided to the victims and effective measures should be taken to eradicate terrorism.
