Prayers for Armed Forces and Martyrs

A program was organized at St. Francis Xavier Church on 18.05.2025 in order to pay tribute to the Pakistani Armed Forces. Prayers were offered for the government of the day, and at the end, candles were lit for martyred soldiers in memory of their great sacrifices, and the community expressed solidarity withtheir families.

This program was organized at the request of Shahzad Lawrence. In the program, gratitude was expressed to God Almighty for giving victory to the Pakistani Armed Forces after the brilliant success of the Banyan Marsus operation, a day of thanksgiving was organized in which the Christian community expressed its national solidarity and devotion to the Pakistani Armed Forces. On this occasion, a special prayer ceremony was organized for the martyrs of the Pakistani Armed Forces. In addition, prayers were offered for the security, unity, and success of the Pakistani armed forces. The participants remembered the sacrifices of the martyrs by holding national flags and candles in their hands. In the ceremony, loyalty and love for Pakistan were expressed by standing to the tune of the national anthem, which presented a beautiful scene.

Moreover, we assure our dear General Syed Asim Munir that, along with the soldiers who are busĀ  protecting the integrity of the beloved homeland and the borders, we Christians are also ready to sacrifice our bodies, minds, and money.
Today, we light candles in memory of the martyrs of the Pakistani armed forces and salute their eternal sacrifices, saying that the death of a martyr is the life of the nation.
A large number of members of the Christian community from across the city participated in this solemn ceremony of Thanksgiving Day. Shahzad Lawrence said in his address that the Pakistani Armed Forces are the protectors of our land, and their sacrifices are unforgettable, and whenever the beloved homeland is in need, our lives are ready.
The participants expressed their determination that they will always continue to play their role for the stability, peace, and promotion of brotherhood in Pakistan.
