With great joy and devotion, I, along with the Catholic parishioners, had the blessed opportunity to light the First Advent Candle at Saint Francis Xavier Parish, Gujranwala, on the 30th Day of November 2025. The serene atmosphere, filled with prayer and reverence, evoked a profound sense of the deep spiritual significance of this moment. As the candle’s light spread softly across the church, it touched every heart present, renewing our collective faith and strengthening our bond as one Christian community. It was a moment of gratitude—gratitude for God’s love, for the gift of our faith, and for the unity that binds us together as the Body of Christ.
As we light the first Advent candle, its gentle flame becomes a beautiful symbol of hope. It reminds us that even in times of darkness, uncertainty, and struggle, God’s unwavering love continues to shine upon us. This light encourages us to move forward with trust, believing in the promises God has made and holding onto the assurance that Christ’s coming brings new life, peace, and salvation. The flame invites each of us to become bearers of hope in our families, communities, and society—spreading kindness, compassion, and unity.
On this special day, we pray for peace, and each of you is simple yet profound: may this Advent season fill your families and homes with grace, unity, and overflowing blessings. May the peace of Christ dwell in your hearts, guiding your steps and uplifting your spirits.
